The Call of Duty League is in a unique position heading into 2021, and not just because of covid-created uncertainty. Both Warzone and Call of Duty Cold War on are similar footing when it comes to popularity on Twitch. As the CDL tries to capture a larger percentage of the CoD player base, Warzone esports will be one strategy. Tonight Andbox, the backers of the New York Subliners, will host a draft for a Warzone event on Twitch at 9 PM ET. The popularity of these types of competitions will be something AB looks at when figuring out added events around the CDL schedule in 2021.
