2020 was supposed to see Activision Blizzard usher in a new era of esports. Recent news has both the OWL and CDL on shaky ground as we turn into 2020. The CDL changed format on Christmas Eve and announced some scheduled games would be dropped. In the OWL, caster MonteCristo announced his retirement citing 'irreconcilable differences.'
