Copperheads and Rattlesnakes

A rattlesnake will let you know he is the enemy. He will send out a rattle that will rise and fall and warn you he will bite. You know he is an enemy, and you know you can’t trust a rattlesnake. You are not surprised by his anger and desire to defend himself with an offensive weapon. An intelligent person or a wise boy moves on, leaving the snake all the room he needs. He is above board and overt about his impending strike. In the human world, we would call him a straight talker.
