The 2020 Netflix miniseries titled "The Queen's Gambit" has revived interested in the book by the same name. Published in 1983, The Queen's Gambit is a coming-of-age story for the "brainy girls" out there. While Beth has lost a lot of things, one thing that she has kept throughout her life is chess. Thankfully, she also seems to be a natural born prodigy. As she ages and faces more and more people at her level, or even better, she is forced to face her many other personal issues as well.
