Pages and Panels #45: Alex De Campi and Grindhouse: Drive in, Bleed Out #1

On this episode of Pages and Panels, Kyle is joined by writer Alex De Campi to break down the first issue in the second volume of her Grindhouse series. The series has containing 2 issue stories focusing on Grindhouse themes, tropes and ideas with little twist to freshen up and modernize the genre. Slay Ride is a Christmas horror story with familiar monsters and undoings of society. Alex talks bringing a new take to the genre, telling a complete story with developed characters in two issues, creating tension and horror in comics, and anime/manga talk.
