On this episode of Pages and Panels, Kyle is joined by writer Ollie Masters to break down the first issue of his new Vertigo series, The Kitchen. Ollie, artist Ming Doyle, and colorist Jordie Belliare tell the story of a group of women in Hell's Kitchen taking over their husbands business while they are in jail with the catch being the business is dirty work for the mafia. Ollie discusses bringing depth and voice to his main characters, research and the Hell's Kitchen as a character in the story, and controlling the flow of back story when telling a first issue. A huge thanks to Ollie for coming on and breaking down the first issue of The Kitchen. Make sure to grab The Kitchen in stores today and digitally on Comixology.
