MAMIE JEAN. (AKA) Calvert/Depew produced and written “In the Eyes of a Killer” which was released Sept 2012. It is available at Blockbuster, Amazon, and now Pay-Per-View. “In the Eyes of a Killer” is Directed by Louis Mandylor and starring Louis Mandylor (Big Fat Greek Wedding), Costas Mandylor (SAW FRANCHISE), Gwendlyn Edwards (The Last Confederate,) James Marshall (A FEW GOOD MEN),  and Petri Hawkins-Byrd (JUDGE JUDY). Her new movie The “Magic Of Christmas II” is has been released and is selling at Walmart, BestBuy, Barnes & Nobles, etc. In addition, Mamie Jean just recently produced and directed “Marvin’s Business Trip”, which is in pre-production and she is currently filming “Magical Mrs. Claus” here in Elk Grove. “In The Eyes of A Killer” won 12 awards, including Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Feature, Best Thriller. Mamie Jean also won Writer of the Year for the script “Sunshine” and Best Screenplay for “Murder By Design” script. Mamie Jean was a stand-up comedian for many years and won a National comedy contest that New Line conducted  to promote the cassette release of Billy Crystal’s Mr. Saturday Night. She now has out a CD called “Kentucky Fried Laffs”. Some of her work can be found on Amazon, Channel K and The Son of Channel K and Bachelor Pad. Mamie is also one of the executive producer of “Bad Faith”. Mamie has been in many movies such as “Thelma and Louise”, “Point Blank”, “Barton Fink”, “Dead Again” and the 1991 Television version of “What Ever Happened to Baby Jane”, etc. Most recently she also appeared in “In the Eyes of a Killer”, “The Magic of Christmas II”, and “Bad Faith”.
