One of the multiple benefits of crypto is the immutability and transparency blockchain offers, especially if we think of it as an answer to corruption, illegal money leakage, and other fault practices that benefit small groups and harm entire populations.
In this episode, we are thrilled to welcome Erik Bethel to the show. He is a Global Financial Professional with vast experience in the private and public sectors, nominated by the President and confirmed by the Senate to represent the United States in the World Bank from 2018 to 2020. At the World Bank, Erik spearheaded technology initiatives, including blockchain and the tokenization of World Bank loans.
In this first part of our interview with Erik, he kindly shared bits of his journey into the financial world, starting almost by accident at Morgan Stanley, traveling the world, living in China for ten years, and finally returning to Miami. We discussed the world's geopolitical situation, the biggest threats to America from an economic standpoint, the advantages of using crypto and similar technologies to deal with public money, and much more.
