Previous Episode: Mind the Mind
Next Episode: The Consignment

In this episode we discuss the contrasts of the worldly and biblical view of love for all mankind.  While there are some similarities, the biblical view takes us further than we're able to go on our own.  We need God's help to live and demonstrate a mature love that's in alignment with his Word.

World View: Self-centered, temporal, measured, romanticized, emotional, sensual, reckless. (influenced by media, society, peers, music, books, magazines, etc.)

Biblical View: 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Is long suffering (can endure evil, injury, and provocation without being filled with resentment)Is kind (Seeks to be useful. Apt and inclined to do all good offices in her power)Envieth not (Suppresses envy)Vaunteth not itself (subdues pride and vain-glory)Not puffed up (Not self conceited)Dosen't not behave itself unseemly (Is careful not to pass the bounds of decency)Seeketh not her own (Is an utter enemy to selfishness)Not easily provoked (Tempers and restrains passions)Thinketh no  evil ( Never indulge suspicion without proofs. It will never be forward to suspect ill)Rejoiceth not in iniquity ( It takes no pleasure in doing injury or hurt to any)Rejoiceth in the truth (It takes no pleasure in the sins of others but is highly delighted to see them do well)Beareth all things (Covers a multitude of sins. He is very unwilling to expose sins of his brother)Believeth all things (Is apt to believe well of all, to entertain a good opinion of others)Hopeth all things (It will hope well)Endureth all things (It will endure as far as it can with any reason)Never fails
