In 2010 Boom Steppa made the bold move to start his own record label NEXXSTEP NETWORK, releasing his first and most successful record titled ‘Naaw Stay Poor’; The video went on to peak at No.1 on several location charts (RETV, HITLIST) including the U.S based television network GBEtv. Following up with another successful single ‘MONEY’, Steppa managed to negotiate a deal with Philipp Schmitz of Philtunes Music, which led to a six weeks promotional tour of Germany in the spring of 2011.
