Communications lessons learned from Comedy

Communication issues are always on the After Action Report, and why is that? Is it that we need new technology? Faster processors? More training? Smarter People? Or is it that we are just plain bad at it? When you see a good comedian, it is not the joke that they are telling that is funny, it is the connection that they make with the audience.
