In January 2020, The City of Elk Grove, California became a compassionate city. At least on paper.
During their January 8th meeting, the Sacramento suburb issued a proclamation advanced by a group called Compassionate Elk Grove.
On this edition of Elk Grove News Podcast, we will take a look at Elk Grove’s proclamation of compassion through a specific lens. That lens was the Elk Grove City Council July 27, 2022 denial of a supportive housing project meant to assist over 60 people to transition out of homelessness.
