Dr. Shubhra Sharma, founder and CEO of CRIA Hair, has a doctorate in Socio-cultural anthropology from the University of Texas at Austin. She has served as Associate Director of Women's and Gender Studies at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN and was the co-founding member of Khabar Lehriya, a rural women's newspaper in India, that is now the subject of an Oscar-nominated documentary, "Writing With Fire" (2022). She has written an award-winning book on women's education in South Asia as well as 2 children's graphic novels: Zoya, the Cat's Baker, and Manners Matter.
