I Know the Stars - the text was written by Sara Teasdale with the same title. The poem in which this piece is set presents both an intelligent and ambitious woman, knowing the very stars by their name. she has extensive knowledge of many things, but she is also in love with a man. Teasdale presents how ambiguous love may lay waste to even the most intelligent, and the wisest of people. this piece attempts to portray Teasdale's intent by imitating both the rise and strength of the subject and the inevitable downfall of her emotions.
