Joan Cerio welcomes film writer, producer, and director George Siegal to the show to talk about his documentary The Last House Standing. This film explores why we continue to place cost over safety while technology exists to build homes capable of withstanding hurricanes, fires, and tornadoes.

George began his career in front of the camera as a newscaster, sportscaster, and weathercaster. He worked in markets from Los Angeles to San Francisco, Seattle, Detroit, and San Antonio, Texas. In addition to work in front of the camera, George was a feature reporter and producer. He made numerous appearances and speeches on behalf of the stations he worked for and hosted The Jerry Lewis Telethon. In 2001, he formed J.E.L. Productions, a video production company that produces commercials, infomercials, television programs and documentary films. George's clients loved the fact that he completed their projects on time and on budget. The company also created their own original programming, which included a Texas Travel Program and a building and remodeling show. George is most proud of his latest venture, forming the nonprofit documentary film company Move the World Films, Inc. He wrote, directed and produced the award-winning documentary films The Last House Standing and License to Parent. George, his wife Nancy and their children, live in Tampa, Florida.
