Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Russell Gage joined Dukes & Bell to talk about the Falcons season and his LSU Tigers winning the SEC Championship.

Gage said he’s excited to step up with Calvin Ridley out.

“Coming into this week understand, we prepare every week like we can step up and play that role.” Gage said “We still have guys like Julio, Rid is still there to help and coach up on anything he sees and understands he’s got a good knowledge of the game, but this a big opportunity for me to step up and do what I have to do. I’ve been preparing all year for moments like this so it’s not really a bid deal but I’m excited about it.”

Russell told the guys it’s about players executing more than the play called.

“I think it’s nothing more than execution.” Gage said “Just executing the plays that we have, I think early on we just had to get in the groove, it took a little longer than we wanted obviously but ultimately that’s what it comes down to. it’s not the plays it’s the players that make it happen and we’re just really executing it a lot better now.”
