Georgia Football beat writer Seth Emerson joined Dukes & Bell to recap early national signing day for the Dawgs and talked about the one recruit that got away from Georgia that hurt the most.

Emerson talked about Jordan Burch deciding not to sign with UGA.

“The one that stands out, well two of them stand out but one of them is still lingering out there is Jordan Burch the defensive end from South Carolina, who picked South Carolina but then has gone radio silent, I would imagine Georgia is still trying to get him.” Emerson said “Defense you always want to get better, you always want to get a guy like that but Jordan Burch would be a little bit of a luxury with the guys they have there.”

Seth told the guys that the biggest recruit the Dawgs missed on was CJ Stroud.

“The guy they missed out on that really would have helped them most people think is CJ Stroud the quarterback, who they really tried hard to get but he ended up sticking with Ohio State.” Emerson said “If Jake Fromm leaves, then lots of questions in that quarterback room for 2020, but CJ Stroud at least would have been if not the guy to replace Fromm next year, would have probably been in the drivers seat for down the line even if Fromm sticks around for one more year, that was the one they probably regret the most maybe Jordan Burch but quarterback was the bigger need.”
