Legendary UGA Coach Vince Dooley joined Dukes & Bell to talk some Dawgs.

Dooley said sometimes you have to hold on to win against good teams.

“They couldn’t stay on the field, particularly in the fourth quarter.” Dooley said “After being up 21-0, that’s going to happen because their defense is really good. LSU, who’s offense is the best in the league only got 24 on that Auburn defense, so we were fortunate enough to get 21 and ended up holding on, sometimes you have to do that.”

Coach talked about how good UGA’s defense has been.

“The defense has been good, Auburn played well, they scored the only rushing touchdown given up by our defense.” Dooley said “They ended up getting hot, and if it wasn’t for some big plays on defense we might still be playing, when you go to Auburn and get a win like that, because they are really good, I’m pretty happy.”
