The guys came back after the top of the hour by going through the NFL Blitz. Carl and Mike questioned the Atlanta Falcons, and their spending habits. They spent a lot of money in the offseason to sure up the roster that they thought would be able to compete for a championship. Julio Jones is the top paid receiver on average, in the NFL. Mike brought up that teams with top paid receivers haven't won a Super Bowl. In actuality, there are only three that have made it to a Super Bowl. A lot of people bring up the New England Patriots as the model on how to deal with paying their players. The Falcons have gotten in bed with Julio Jones financially, and we shall see if they are able to come out of it with a Super Bowl.
