Welcome to another Dropped Culture Podcast After Dark episode all about the greatest rock and roll band of all time "The Stooges" Iggy Pop (vocals), Ron Asheton (guitar, bass), Scott Asheton (drums), Dave Alexander (bass), and later additions James Williamson (guitar), Steve Mackay (saxophone). Often cited as the Godfathers of Punk, The Stooges were ahead of their time and are still light years away from any band that has come since. Songs like "I Wanna Be Your Dog", "Down on the Street" and "Search and Destroy" propelled them into legendary status. The world was never the same after August 5th 1969. Thank God for The Stooges because without them we wouldn't be who we are today! Dan, Tyson and Brock Dive deep into their first 3 albums track by track while recounting their earliest experiences with the band and feelings about what they mean to them. Make sure you have your copies of the records ready because after this podcast you will want them on your stereo full blast and pissing off the neighbors again! Long Live The Stooges!
