What would it look like if every city had free transit? Would you ride it more often? What would it cost? Is it a worthwhile idea? One person who has looked into this idea is Rosalie Ray. Rosalie is a Ph.D. student in Urban Planning at Columbia University. She received her B.A. in Economics from Smith College and her Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from UCLA. Before going to UCLA, she worked as an economist at the U.S. Department of Transportation. Rosalie’s past research explored the prospects of fare-free transit in the United States and that includes a chapter in the book… Free Public Transit: And Why We Don't Pay to Ride Elevators. Is that a chicken on your shoulder or are you just driving drunk?  And this has to be one of the most head scratching stories we have ever talked about. The tale of the cat switcheroo. All that and more on the Driving You Crazy Podcast.
