Volkswagen’s ID.4 electric vehicle is now available with all-wheel drive and it’s amazing how much difference an extra motor can make. It adds much more power and extra traction, perfect for a winter snow storm that hit Seattle on Christmas day. Automotive specialist Tom Voelk takes a Pro S AWD out onto the slick hilly streets of the Emerald City to see if an EV can handle the Pacific Northwest’s nasty mix of ice and snow.
