Coat Check and PROVIDER have quickly become the most recognized all-day cafes in Indianapolis and it all began when Neal Warner experienced a life-changing cup of pour-over coffee before an early morning on the farm. His talent and passion for coffee were discovered by the Athenaeum, and in February of 2017 Neal, his brother Paul, and sister-in-law Audreyalice opened Coat Check. Neal #curated the menu to feature handcrafted, high-quality ingredients without the pretension, so it only took a few weeks for the shop to be flooded with publicity, patrons, and, unfortunately, water. Last spring, Coat Check opened a second space called PROVIDER that features an additional cocktail menu. Learn about how Ross and Neal craft the ingredients for your favorite latte or cocktail, the purpose of the no-laptop policy at PROVIDER, and even coffee shop courtesies from the famous barista himself, Ross Bemis.
