Katrina Louis is managing editor for QCity Metro, one of the nation’s first digital-only news organizations founded to serve a local, Black audience.

Her experience has placed her on both sides of a story, journalism and public relations. She's an alum of Poynter Institute's Leadership Academy for diversity in digital media and UNC/Knight Foundation Table Stakes Newsroom Initiative.

Katrina still considers herself a newcomer after moving with her husband to Charlotte from Miami five years ago. She's a lover of the arts, supports small businesses and her Florida Gators, and enjoys a nice glass of Chardonnay as well as a good whiskey.
