Welcome listeners to another episode of Dragon’s Demize. Today, we review Viceroy, a strategy game where players compete to build their pyramids of power. In Viceroy, players collect gems in order to acquire and play character cards. Each character card can be played into a pyramid at any level, provided there are free cards beneath it. The cost, and more importantly the effect, changes dramatically based on where it’s played. It’s a great gameplay element that provides lots of versatility and strategic options. Check out or review for more details.
We also take the opportunity to riff on our recent roleplaying experiences, including some crazy games of A Quiet Year and Jakub’s always-entertaining D&D group. We hope you enjoy this week’s episode!
