Lil Hell is back! On this go-around, schedules have aligned, allowing Jovana to join forces. Mitch strongarms me into watching American Animals (2018), and I counter by forcing him to watch The Empty Man (2020). Yeah, it has a terrible name, but I promise it doesn't deserve the large swath of negative reviews and the pretty sad release it was given. Jovana talks religio-spiritual thematics with The Master (2012) and A Serious Man (2009). Full disclosure: this episode ends in exasperation with my rant on how terrible a movie Malignant is. It's a position I will not yield. I also arrive at a whole other place, a place I never imagined I'd be -- a pro-piracy place. Hear me out.
