The Save Our Stages Act is a bill that could grant funds to help music venues, including theatres and touring houses, survive until they can reopen.
At the time of publish we expect news of S.O.S. at any moment. Congress is scheduled to break for the holidays on Friday, December 18th, but it's probable that they're going to work into the weekend.
This could be a lifeline for many of the theatres and venues around DFW including the Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth. Dione Kennedy is the President and CEO of Performing Arts Fort Worth, the group that manages and operates the Bass Hall. She joins Downstage for an emergency discussion to ask for a last minute show of support.
