ALLAN JENKINS is a legend at Stranraer AND Ballymena.

He’s played in every senior league in Scotland and scored in an Irish League Cup win while keeping his mum’s cancer diagnosis a secret.

He came back to Scotland to play in the juniors with Hurlford, Darvel and Dalbeattie Star.

And now he’s at his local club again, pulling on the boots for Stranraer’s reserves - but more importantly overseeing their youth setup.

In the first of two parts we’ll look at:

Life playing boys’ football with Kevin Kyle
Why he thinks a generation of players could be lost because of the pandemic.
Both sides of Billy McLaren - and his fight with a naked player.
Neil Watt's jotter of the players he'd sign to make Stranraer successful.
Why being a postman helped his career.
The day he walked out holding hands with his future Hurlford manager.
His rapping to Vanilla Ice.
Why Stephen Swift terrorised Peter Crouch
The day they wrecked Stuart Millar's pre-match toilet routine.
Allan's aspirations as a coach.

AND look out for part two in the coming weeks where Alln talks about the massive highs and huge lows of playing at Gretna on the up then leaving on the down.

Then how a move across the Irish Sea ended with him being inducted into Ballymena’s hall of fame.
