We interview the developers of a turn-based fighting game, Uppercut, and go over CPT info and Defend the North results.

Today we have special guests Michael Yagi (CEO) and Alejandro Hitti (Technical Project Lead) of Genun Games. Their current project is Uppercut, a game that merges the traditional mechanics of a fighting game and the intricacies of a card game.

We discuss the creative process, as well as the effort to design compelling characters or classes within this unique game. From concept to execution, we explore the challenges of bringing these characters to life, showcasing the depth and complexity they offer to players. Additionally, we also discuss network and solo play, the game's competitive aspect, crossplay, match replay, and more.

After the interview, we shift gears to discuss the updated schedule and registration for the Capcom Pro Tour. We examine the format of the online events and the three offline qualifiers, diving into the excitement and anticipation surrounding the tournament.

Speaking of tournaments, we turn our attention to Defend the North. We recap the hype matches from prominent players, analyze the event’s presentation, and discuss the pros and cons of running on the PC platform.
