Welcome back and welcome all to The DOPE Thoughtz Podcast with your hosts Puffie and Smokie!!! On this episode we are blessed with the presence of Georgetown University Alumni Queen Adesuyi as we discuss her career in D.C as a Policy Manager. Queen is a native New York City girl (shout out BX) who is bringing justice to marginalize communities disproportionately  impacted by the war on drugs by being apart of the team who both introduced and lobbied for the most recently passed MORE ACT. The Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement Act of 2020 or the MORE Act of 2020, removes marijuana from the list of scheduled substances under the Controlled Substances Act and eliminates criminal penalties for an individual who manufactures, distributes, or possesses marijuana.

As we learn about what the details that the act entails and what's next to come in the progression of this bill, we are met with endless laughs and amazing insight as the conversation goes on. Queen is young, smart, and passionately driven to make change by holding our system accountable with the help of modern research and support. We appreciate Queen making the time for us and sharing her expertise with us, it's always great to learn something new if someone is willing to teach,

Thank you all for your continued love and support, we hope you enjoy- jah bless.
