Welcome to 'Don't You Want Me?' - a podcast series taking a lighthearted look at the most relatable, intriguing and dysfunctional relationships in film.

In this episode, we’re speeding over the sand dunes with Alan Trustman’s 1968 heist caper The Thomas Crown Affair. Directed by Norman Jewison the year after the release of his Sidney Poitier masterpiece In the Heat of The Night and nineteen years before his Cher extravaganza Moonstruck (a big favourite of the podcast), this film was nominated for two academy awards, winning Best Original Song for Michel Legrand’s The Windmills of Your Mind and it also reinvented chess. Tonight we’ll be lighting the fire with Thomas, played by Steve McQueen and Vicki, played by Faye Dunaway. Do these two have the love of a lifetime, or are we just running a sex orgy for a couple of freaks on government funds?
