Welcome to 'Don't You Want Me?' - a podcast series taking a lighthearted look at the most relatable, intriguing and dysfunctional relationships in film.

In this episode, we’re talking about Richard Donner’s Superman from the year 1978. With a screenplay by Mario Puzo, David Newman, Leslie Newman and Robert Benton; based on the DC Comics character created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, this would come to be recognised among many as the godfather of superhero films. Helping us fight for truth and justice and the American way tonight are Clark Kent and Superman played by Christopher Reeve and Lois Lane, played by Margot Kidder. As one of the most notorious love triangles in the history of popular culture, is it just the basis of a simple adventure story or could it unlock the secrets of the universe?
