Welcome to 'Don't You Want Me?' - a podcast series taking a lighthearted look at the most relatable, intriguing and dysfunctional relationships in film.

In this episode, we’re getting lovey dovey in spectacularly scatty fashion with 1993’s Sleepless in Seattle, written and directed by Nora Ephron. This was the second film that Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks had starred in together, having both appeared in Joe Versus the Volcano three years before, though this movie cemented their place as Hollywood’s romcom poster couple. Thirty years on from its original release, what makes Sleepless in Seattle arguably the go-to movie for Valentine’s Day? How much of our ideas on romance have been shaped by it, as well as its parent film, An Affair to Remember? (our last episode was on that gem, so do check it out). Are podcasts the new answer to call-in radio shows? Have we been put here to unite any lonely hearts that might be out there? If you enjoy this episode, please consider leaving us a rating or a review on your podcast app of choice, or just take the opportunity to fess up to who your secret crush is and we’ll send you both some Tiramisu.
