The world of Nascar was turned upside down with reports that a noose was found in the garage of Bubba Wallace. Of course, if this did happen it would be a disgusting display of hate. But many were questioning the legitimacy of this noose hate crime. We have seen in the past many people have tried to garner attention with a hate hoax and sometimes it works. Jussie Smollett is a prime example of a hate crime that was actually a hate hoax. Nascar did have the FBI investigate the situation. Would Bubba Wallace be the next Jussie Smollett? That remains to be seen. The FBI did confirm the Bubba Wallace was not targeted with a hate crime and this was a hate hoax. However, Bubba Wallace made an appearance on CNN’s Don Lemon show. Bubba Wallace seemed to double down on these claims sort of or maybe? Bubba Wallace was not making a direct point but did insist that a noose was found despite the FBI saying this was just a garage rope pull.
