Preventing Animal Cruelty - Guest Captain Cesar Perea

Doc Halligan and Captain Perea worked together in prosecuting people who were harming animals.  This topic is very difficult to listen to but it is important to contact your local authorities if you see anyone who is harming any animal.  In LA you can contact SPCA_LA for valuable resources. Perea is leading Animal Cruelty Investigations at the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles (spcaLA), and he has had a career in law enforcement that spans more than 25 years, including a diverse background in the areas of patrol, investigative and specialized assignments with the San Diego Sheriff’s Department, the San Diego Police Department, and the San Diego Humane Society & SPCA. In his current assignment, he oversees spcaLA’s Animal Cruelty Investigations, Disaster Animal Response Team, and is part of the organization’s Senior Management Team.
