The third movie balances trying to tie up Harry’s decent into madness and revenge, Peter finding the new challenge of letting Spider-Man’s popularity go to his head at the expense of his relationship with MJ. All the the while finding out the new villain on the scene who has some how merged with sand, is the one who was responsible for Uncle Ben’s death. Meanwhile, an alien being lands in New York and attaches itself to Spider-Man’s suit.
