If you have heard of oxytocin before, you have probably heard about it as “the love hormone” or “the cuddle hormone.” Oxytocin has other nicknames too. It’s called the morality molecule, the hug hormone, and although it is less catchy, I like to point out, it’s also the racism hormone. Those are just a few of the things oxytocin has been implicated in. But how can one hormone do all of those things?
