In this episode, host Rebecca George welcomes guest Kelly Needham to dive deep into the topic of purpose and calling. Drawing from her own journey, Kelly shares profound insights and challenges listeners to rethink their understanding of purpose.

Despite her natural inclination for teaching and communication, she found herself questioning the meaning of her gifts after her husband unexpectedly gained success in the music industry. Wrestling with these questions through various seasons of life, including motherhood, Kelly has arrived at a place of understanding of the work and message she now shares. Kelly emphasizes the importance of stewarding unexpected seasons and being willing to run our race well for God's glory, even if it doesn't align with our plans.

Kelly Needham is a servant of Jesus Christ, a student of the Bible, and COO of her home, where she lives with her husband, Jimmy, and their five children. She is the author of Friendish: Reclaiming Real Friendship in a Culture of Confusion and has been a contributing author to many other books, including Faithful and Beautifully Distinct. She has served on staff at two different churches, serving in youth, college, and women’s ministry. Whether writing or speaking, Kelly’s aim is to convince as many people as possible that nothing compares to knowing Jesus.

Rebecca and Kelly chat about:

Understanding and embracing unexpected seasons and challenges
Discerning your calling as a follower of Christ
The importance of community support in discovering and utilizing gifts and talents
