Episode 183: Janet Jackson - Love Will Never Do Without You (Kitty Glitter Remix) [snippet]

During this pandemic, while being an out of work DJ , I took the chance to do something I always intended to but was too busy touring the world to get around to doing - to learn music production. After many hours of tutorials and frustration , I have finally figured out the basics to create original music/remixes. Armed with a midi keyboard and the knowledge to now create whatever I want, I feel like a shiny new world is at my fingertips. I’ve still got a lot to learn before an official release, but I’m like a kid with new toy and all I wanna do is play and create!
This is a snippet of one my tutorial projects. I was playing around with loops, beats, baselines and effects and decided to lay Janet Jackson’s Love Will Never Do Without You acapella over it. It’s so exhilarating creating a remix from scratch!
Like many Dj’s who call themselves producers, I could have gone the easy route and used a ghost producer to create music to label as my own, but if I am going to promote myself as a DJ/Producer, I want to be mixing & producing myself.
