Shakoya Green, M.A, M.S.W is an established professional Social Worker in the behavioral health and social services field. A native of Compton, California, she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Family Development from San Diego State University and a Master of Human Behavior from National University. She also obtained a second Master’s Degree in Social Work from California State University  Dominguez Hills.  An exemplary professional, Ms. Green’s acquaintance with social services and the impact it has on individuals is relatively due to her own lived experiences. Ms. Green was born into a home with drug addicted parents and as a result was raised by her maternal grandmother. As an experienced Social Worker she has combined her traumatic lived experiences with her expertise in management acuity to facilitate awareness of program goals, objectives, and desired outcomes for her staff. Her fervor for human development and community awareness have sustained her professional proficiency and ensured longevity and success within her line of work.  In her twenty-year experience Ms. Green has worked in the non-profit sector servicing diverse populations ranging the full life span. Her work includes serving at risk youth, those suffering from severe mental illness, intellectual and developmental disabilities, substance abusers, and individuals experiencing homelessness - to name a few. She was the Director of Pathway Recuperative Care, as well as director for the National Health Foundation, where she more than doubled her program budget, maintaining strategic partnerships and shepherd new opportunities for growth, sustainability, and improvement of participant outcomes.  Her research surrounding housing services for developmentally disabled foster youth analyzed the lack of effectiveness and support provided to this population. As a result of her findings, Ms. Green launched a program. The program includes housing, employment, financial training, educational essentials, and behavioral issues that hinder individuals from living successfully in the community.  Currently, Ms. Green serves as the Senior Vice President of programs at The Brotherhood Crusade. As the organization’s first Senior Vice President, she is responsible for the leadership and oversight of all programs, grant writing, and works as a liaison to funders and community partners. Ms. Green is most adept at the design and implementation of data-driven systems and programs accompanied by comprehensive evaluation. She is also proficient in monitoring protocols that inform correction, promote continuous improvement, and facilitate real-time feedback that drives meaningful impact.  In her spare time, Ms. Green enjoys reading, traveling, relaxing with her family, and discovering avenues to better serve individuals in need. She is involved in her community as a member of the Black Equity Task force, The National Association of Social Work, and is co-founder and CEO of B2B (Blessed to be a Blessing) Support Services Inc. She is also an active member of Resurrection Church in Carson, California. Her personal desire is to advocate for resources to help ensure a successful trajectory for youth in underserved communities. Ms. Green’s personal mantra is, Manifest greatness, Strive to reach your highest level of potential. She has one daughter and is  presently engaged.
