Ireland has a wonderful history of banning books. In fact we banned over 12,000 of them throughout our history. Some were banned for very good reason, while others were banned for mentioning divorce. Historian Dr Aoife Bhreatnach decided that this would be a great topic for a podcast and so the Censored Pod was born.
