We kick off a new series we're calling 'What If' that will explore big headlines in sports and discuss how things would have changed if it would have gone differently.

To start us off, we go back to 2006 and the NFL offseason. The Miami Dolphins were in search of a quarterback for head coach Nick Saban's team and they narrowed it down to Daunte Culpepper and Drew Brees. Both guys were dealing with injuries but the medical team in Miami determined Brees was a bigger risk and he ended up signing with the New Orleans Saints.

Since that time both franchises have gone in completely opposite directions.

Join us as we give you the background on Brees before that 2006 offseason, what happened since that decision, and then answer the What If scenario.

Some of the things we'll get into:

What happens to Nick Saban, Alabama, and college football? Who do the Saints settle on at QB? Does this change Sean Payton's legacy? What does the AFC East look like for the past 10+ years with Brady, Brees, Belichick and Saban?

Hit us up on Twitter and Instgram if you have an opinion on what football would look like today with Brees in Miami instead of New Orleans.
