Now that we've moved a few weeks out from the Youtube dislike change, I wanted to make a video on it because I've seen so many commentators give the "big corporate" take on it. Everyone is thinking Youtube changed the dislike button because it benefits brands or helps advertisers. I want to offer an alternative view of the situation and talk about what I think the real reason behind the youtube dislike button being hidden and and how we can start a conversation about changing it.

So why did youtube remove the dislike button? Will the youtube dislike button come back? I leveraged some of my work from the agency world to show how brands and marketing agencies really think about brand development, advertising, and likes/dislikes. We'll talk about what brands really care about in this video and get into the depths of marketing.
