In 1843 Charles Dickens published A Christmas Carol, a work shedding light on poverty, cruelty and income disparities all during the Yuletide season. One hundred seventy-nine years later, and many of these themes are still in existence. Through the years the Dickens tale has been satirized, parodied, and rebooted to extend its reach and relevance. Join us this Christmas Eve as we deconstruct the many retellings of A Christmas Carol and establish its continued importance as an expression of our Christmas aspirations.
