Danton Lamar is an American comic living in self-imposed exile. Using comedy to see the world, he's been a part of the international comedy scene for over seven years, bringing his racially charged awkward charm to Asia, Europe, Russia, the US, and now Canada, and beyond.
Born in AZ, and raised in Smalltown, Massachusetts he’s always been a transplant. His quasi-nomadic life has left him with hilarious stories and irreverent insights into the world today.
He owns The Comedy Lab: Toronto’s only all-minority-run comedy club, and Werd (Word) Entertainment: an events, production, and marketing company dedicated to elevating marginalized voices. He produces upwards of 25 shows a month including Dope Comedy, Toronto’s premier comedy party at the gorgeous Broken Cage Gallery.
