Things get bleak as we leave our bunker and take on The Road. The Road is a 2006 novel by American writer Cormac McCarthy. It is a post-apocalyptic tale of a father and son, and a journey they undertake in the years after an unspecified cataclysm has destroyed most of civilization. In it they must survive the nuclear winter and the worst of man. The book was made into a film in 2009, directed by John Hillcoat and starring Viggo Mortensen. CAUTION! This one contains some dark topics, such as cannibalism.
