Creative photographer by day and kickass Muay Thai fighter by night, Sam Tokita shares her experiences simultaneously navigating these spaces and her identity as a disabled person. Through sport and photography, she’s been able to work through internalized ableism and expand representation for the limb difference community. Wherever she found she couldn’t fit in as a mixed race Hapa woman with limb differences, she MADE SPACE. Now that’s the level of confidence we want to bring with us into 2021!
