INTRODUCTION:
In life we continually have and plan dates/appointments:
With doctors, with employers, with friends, family dates, business appointments,
loving dates, leisure dates, etc.
Some dates are kept, others never come to be.
God also plans dates with humanity and many of them depend on our schedule
and our desire to keep them.
But there are other dates that no matter what it is they will always come.
Ecclesiastes 7:2-4 “
2 Better to spend your time at funerals than at parties.
After all, everyone dies— so the living should take this to heart.
3
Sorrow is better than laughter, for sadness has a refining influence on us.
4A wise person thinks a lot about death, while a fool thinks only about having a
good time.”(NLT)
We all have a date with death
Maybe this topic is not very popular or that it’s likeable to discuss, but it is of the
utmost importance to consider
I want this topic to be a message to our conscience
I hope that it shakes you up, that it confronts you, that it motivates you.
Come On! Keep Going….seems to have been a very popular message.
And I want us to continue to be encouraged and move forward, but in the way
that God wants and not in the way that our whims and the world propel us.
Let's not get confused then.
If God is giving us life, then we must take advantage of it and tell God:
• I want to live for You
• I want to live and die confidently
