Drafus is a Hong Kong-based DJ and music producer who grew up in New York City and studied at Central St Martins in London, graduating with a master's in Graphic Design. Last month Drafus had a solo set at Cockenflap 2023, which is considered the largest music festival in Hong Kong and one of the biggest in Asia. Drafus was on the lineup with Arctic Monkeys, Wu-Tang Clana and Bombay Bicycle Club to name a few. In today's podcast I'm going to be finding out about the creative scene in Hong Kong, What was it like growing up in New York City, What was it like being a designer pre-internet, and how does music influence the world today? In this episode, you'll find out about Drafus, where the best places to listen to live music are in HK and you'll learn about the music scene in HK. We recorded this in a coffee shop so I hope the audio is ok.
