Calvin Liew is the designer behind Rated R Clo, a Perth-based clothing brand, founded in 2018. Rated R focuses on building high-quality, comfortable, versatile garments that last. Rated R’s primary narrative focuses on youth counter-culture which can be seen in the creative direction of the brand. I was really impressed by the material quality of Rated R's latest range. What I love about the Rated R brand is the creative community which the brand is built upon. Rated R was born out of a passion for clothing, sharing ideas with friends, and working on projects with other like-minded people. In this episode, we cover the early beginnings of the brand, and the differences between the last and latest collections, I check out some Rated R garments and we dive deep into the concepts that drive Rated R and its creative direction.
